Religious School

B’nai Tikvah offers 1-day a week religious school on Mondays, 4:30-6:30 pm.  We’ve designed our religious school schedule to meet the needs of busy families.  Students are the stars at our monthly Family Service with skits, songs and service participation.

Our small class size allows for individualized attention.

We offer Bar/Bat Mitzvahs geared toward each child’s needs, and abilities.

Our staff is always available to our students to answer questions and provide guidance, and help with their education process.

The B’nai Tikvah religious school recognizes that our students and their families need to make a powerful connection with their cultural and historical roots. We incorporate hands-on activities – including: art, drama and Jewish cooking, life cycle events, and celebrating holidays and Shabbat together. Through these programs, our students and their families spend quality time together in a Jewish setting.

The individualized needs of each child are addressed by the instructors who continue to challenge our students with their advanced Jewish knowledge and experience.  An important mission of the religious school states that “Every Jewish child deserves a quality and comprehensive Jewish education”, and because it’s never too late to start a religious education, we divide children by level, not by grade for Hebrew Studies.

We are the only Jewish religious school in San Diego County that uses an online study and learning program, that students can use on computers, laptops, tablets, or smart phones as necessary. This allows students to make up for missed class sessions due to illness, sports or family activities. The teachers can monitor and review all online student activities.

Our Staff will work closely with parents and each child so that they can accomplish their goal of becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
